pricing

Flight Instruction $50/hr
Ground Instruction $50/hr
Aircraft Rental $125/hr

billing cadence

Lessons billed by every tenth of an hour. Payment due at the end of each lesson through Flight Schedule Pro.

ground time policy

All students will be billed 0.5 hrs of Ground Instruction with every lesson to account for briefing, debriefing, preflight, cleaning, or hangaring.

payment and refunds

Payment is due at the conclusion of each lesson. Students with unpaid balances will not be permitted to begin the next lesson. There are no refunds for any reason.

late fees, cancellations, and rescheduling

Billing for the lesson begins at the scheduled time, regardless of whether the student is in attendance, and ends upon conclusion of instructional activities.

  • No call no show cancellations are billed at 100% of the scheduled block time.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours are billed at 50% of the scheduled block time, except for the first occurrence which is not billed.
  • Cancellations due to weather, maintenance, illness, or initiated by the instructor are not billed.
  • If the instructor is late, billing begins when the instructor arrives.

video recording

The student may record video and audio of flight sessions only for personal use, provided such recording does not distract from the flight activity.

academic standards

  • Arrive well rested and with good hygiene. If experiencing drowsiness, hangover, illness, or any condition that might impact learning, cancel the lesson.
  • Students may explore outside resources but must clear such materials with the instructor before use.
  • Use of generative AI products including Google AI Overview, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT to study or respond to written exam questions is strictly prohibited.

record keeping

The student will purchase a pilot logbook and bring it to each lesson. The student must present all documents required by law and school policy (proof of citizenship or TSA clearance, insurance, medical certificate, and similar). At all times, the legally required records of training remain the property of the student.

required materials

Aside from the items legally required to be present in the aircraft for flight, the instructor does not provide the items required by the student for flight training. These items, including a headset, kneeboard, books, and study materials, must be provided by the student at the student's expense.

termination

The student may discontinue training at any time for any reason. Provide timely notice so that records may be updated.
